WIN invites women pursuing/interested in career in neuroscience to apply for mentorship program.
The program is open for all women at graduate or post-graduate levels who are interested in any of the disciplines which neuroscience cuts across.
Careers in STEM
WIN Nigeria President (Dr. Chinna Orish) organized and spoke at a TReND in Africa and L’Oreal Foundation sponsored event highlighting different career options for girls in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. The talk was held at Community Secondary School Ogbogoro, a suburb of Port Harcourt city in Nigeria
Dietary Intervention in autism management
WIN Nigeria held a one-day seminar and outreach highlighting how a better diet helps children living with autism to cope and the general management of neuropsychiatric problems. This event included free medical checkups benefitting and reaching many women and young and elderly people.
This event held on the 25th of May, 2019 at a local church (Redeemed Christian Church of God, Hephziah Center)
Careers in neuroscience
WIN Nigeria organized a career talks at a local girls high school focusing on getting students to appreciate and aspire to build successful careers in neuroscience.

Health and wellness campaign
Free medicals, health talks and tips...
As part of activities lined up in this year's outreach WIN Nigeria organized a one-day seminar and outreach highlighting how a better diet helps children living with autism to cope and the general management of neuropsychiatric problems. This event held at the Community Health Center, Ozuoba and reached over 100 young mothers and pregnant women.
Autism management
Two universities in the Port Harcourt area (University of Port Harcourt and Ignatius University of Education) also hosted WIN Nigeria, in a series of health lectures on dietary intervention and impact in managing autistic children and general health benefits of proper diet.
The lectures were well received and reached over 100+ university staff, lecturers and students as well as being covered by the media. See photos in the gallery and on our Facebook page.
