A neuroscience outreach held at Edo University Iyamho last December for uniquely designed for 200 level MBBS female students.
The outreach was organized by Itohan Roli Osahon and the Head of Department of Anatomy Dr. Adejoke E Memudu. The aim of the outreach was to these female students on Neuroscience and to educate them on the importance of becoming a neuroscientist as well as a member of Women in Neuroscience in Nigeria.
During the outreach, the students were introduced to the basic concept of Neuroanatomy, basic brain facts, branches of Neuroscience, careers in Neuroscience, reasons why women most especially African women should be interested in a career in Neuroscience, and opportunities open for females in Neuroscience.
